HORSES AND PONIES!
MEET THE EQUINES
MEET NAOMI
Naomi is a 21 yr old paint horse who was our first horse. Gifted to me by my husband as a surprise birthday gift. Not knowing enough about horses, she was purchased from a local rescue only to discover afterwards that she was unrideable due to her severe ringbone from a prior injury. It seemed like a lose/lose for her to return to a rescue, so we embraced her as our horse and have found her to be the most sensitive and gentle of all of the horses we have. She has taught kids with trauma to overcome their fear of horses by her beautiful, soft eyes and sweet and approachable demeanor. She is a big part of Promiseland Farm Ministries.
MEET STEFAN
Stefan is a 20 yr old flea bitten gray Appaloosa who came to us in 2020, as a foster horse, from a local rescue. He is playful and affectionate, loving attention and carrots. He is a riding horse and loves horsey-Ing around with his other pasture pals.
Stefan has a lot of talents and is used to work with humans with traumas through our ministry, as well as do trail rides, and he even magically changes into a unicorn for children! He is a farm favorite because of his sweet and gentle nature, Stefan has appeared in a lot of Kellyann’s photoshoots, making him quite famous!
MEET SONNY!
Sonny came to us in 2021 as a 3 yr old 34” chocolate palomino pony. He was a fun purchase, as our knowledge of horses grew and a friend found him needing a home. He was an untouched horse when he arrived but sweet and eager to please. We’ve put a lot of work into him and he is a favorite with our ministry, due to his size, sky blue eyes and joy-filled nature. Sonny runs a 5k every year to support our favorite non profit event and has been a step in unicorn for photo sessions. He’s the little clown in the pasture always being a little disruptive to the herd making us laugh out loud at his antics!
MEET WILLY!
Willy is our newest addition to Promiseland Farm, having come in September of 2023. Hi is a 12-year-old Dun-colored Mini Horse. His trademark is his dorsal stripe down his back. It was impossible to turn him away when his heartbroken owner had to rehome him as he is Sonny's half-brother and we fell in love with his soft eyes, gorgeous mane, and gentle demeanor instantaneously. All I could think of was how our ministry kids would fall in love with him. And they have. Another fun fact! Willy has been trained to ground drive and came with a pony cart! We are learning to do this with him still. He loves people and the alpacas and has completed our little horsey herd!
